Wasted Days

Some of the greatest wisdom comes from the proverbs of a nation. I have never been to Sudan, or the more recent nation of South Sudan, but have been invited and hope to get there. Here is a short Sudanese proverb courtesy of a blog I enjoy. Practice this today with me!!

  1. So honored that you shared. I heard this proverb from a friend about 10 or more years ago. I have always loved it. Not least, because it so represents the strength of the people of Sudan.

  2. I shall momentarily enjoy the vain thought; “wow! I went somewhere Steve hasn’t gone!” From my brief time there I can appreciate what Marilyn said above. My uncle was a lecturer there for over 30 years, and was so much a part of the family with the Sudanese people.

I resolve to laugh industriously tomorrow!!!
